Hi Ashley,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with your question about Theme Park Tickets. I am so sorry to hear that your mother may need to have surgery, sending extra Pixie Dust her way in hope for a speedy recovery and that she will be able to join you at Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season.
Theme Park Tickets are non-refundable, but don't worry, Ashley, you won't lose the value of your Tickets if your plans end up changing. If your mom can't make it, you have a few options. First, if you book another visit prior to her Theme Park Tickets expiring, you can use her existing Theme Park Ticket to make a new Theme Park Reservation and head back to the "Most Magical Place on Earth". Personally I like the idea of booking another trip, the more Disney magic the better! If the timing doesn't work out and her Theme Park Tickets do expire prior to being able to use them, the value of the Theme Park Ticket can be used toward the purchase of a new Theme Park Admission when she is ready.
Since you are planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort during one of the busiest times of the year I do recommend purchasing your Theme Park Tickets as soon as possible in order to make sure you are able to make
Theme Park Reservations. There are a few days in December that are showing limited availability, as capacity is still limited.
Wishing your mother lots of luck for her upcoming surgery, Ashley. If you have any other questions please come back to
planDisney, we are always happy to help.
