My mother has me listed under her MyDisneyExperience app, with no email and a different profile picture than I have. She can't remove me from her profile and I can't figure out how to merge the two accounts in time for our upcoming trip. Help!

Welcome to planDisney Katherine, and thanks so much for reaching out with your question. I'm so glad to hear you're preparing for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There’s truly nothing like the magic of Disney, and I’m happy to help make your planning process as smooth as possible.

If your mother has you listed under her My Disney Experience account without an email and with a different profile picture, it likely means she created a managed profile for you in the past. This is common when one person sets up plans for the whole family. Since you now have your own My Disney Experience account and want to use it for the upcoming trip, you'll need to connect or merge the two profiles.

First, confirm whether you already have your own My Disney Experience account with your email and login. If you do, the goal is to take control of the profile your mother created so your plans, tickets, and reservations carry over correctly.

Have your mom log in to her My Disney Experience account and go to the Family & Friends list. She should find your name, click "Update" next to it, and see if there's an option to "Share Planning with this person." If so, she should enter the email address associated with your personal account. You’ll receive an invitation via email to accept the connection. Once you accept it, the profile she managed will merge with your account, and you’ll gain control of it, along with any plans or tickets linked to it.

If she doesn’t see the option to share planning, it might mean there’s a conflict between profiles or duplicate accounts. In that case, the easiest and fastest solution is to contact Disney’s App Support. They can manually merge the profiles on the back end. You can call the App Support team or use the chat feature in the My Disney Experience app by scrolling down to “Chat With Us.” Be prepared to provide your email, your mom’s account information, and details of any linked reservations.

Katherine, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
