Heather from NSW Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi. My mother in law has two Disney accounts. One of them has her Disney Plus subscription, and the other one has our upcoming travel plans linked. We would like to merge them into one account, but don’t want to lose the details. How can we do this?

    Hiya Heather!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us this question! Disney+ members can now enjoy special perks on their Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so I am glad you decided to merge your accounts. Plus, thanks to Disney+, you take some of the magic of the theme parks with you wherever you go!

Now, let's talk about those accounts! First, you can delete the account that uses the email linked to your mother's Disney+ subscription and change the email of the account with your reservations. If the first account has no important reservations, you can hover your cursor over the My Disney Experience tab and click on "Profile." In "Account Settings," scroll to the bottom of your screen and click on "Delete Account." Once you sign back into the second account with all the bookings, you will be able to again click on "My Profile" in the My Disney Experience tab and change the email associated with the account. If you have any important information on that first account that cannot be deleted, however, I suggest you stop by Guest Relations or contact a Cast Member via chat, email or phone upon landing in Florida. Indeed, Cast Members truly are real-life fairy godparents and will be able to merge your two accounts while making sure all your bookings are linked properly!

To easily access your My Disney Experience account and reservations, I highly recommend that you download the My Disney Experience mobile app for your visit. Indeed, the mobile app includes many helpful features such as Mobile Food and Beverage Orders and online check-in features that make your trip more convenient. The newest addition, however, is MagicBand+, which takes the convenience of original MagicBands and adds more magic and fun to it. The MagicBand+ requires the My Disney Experience mobile app to pair itself to your account so you can tap into the theme parks and open your Resort hotel door. To fully experience all that the MagicBand+ offers, download the Play Disney Parks mobile app, especially if you are travelling with little ones! MagicBand+ provides a brand new way to enjoy the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection by allowing you to interact with your favourite characters, and the Play Disney Parks app collects the characters you have interacted with. In addition to other games around the Resort, you will even experience more magic while watching the nighttime spectaculars Disney Enchantment and Harmonious! MagicBand+ can be purchased at select stores at the Walt Disney World Resort so keep an eye out!

I hope this was helpful, Heather, and that you and your mother will have the most magical experience on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to bibbidi bobbidi boo your issues away and send you plenty of pixie dust!

    Have a magical day,
