My mother in law and I are taking a quick trip to WDW in September. We have never been during a Halloween Party so we were considering getting tickets. What goes on during the party? Are the rides open still? Do adults wear costumes too or is it only kids?

    Greetings Nellie,

September is a beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite "party." In fact, between it and Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival, fall is the absolutely perfect time to plan a vacation.

During Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there is an incredible special fireworks show called Happy HalloWishes and new this year, you can book a the Happy HalloWishes Dessert Party Package! There is also a special parade, Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade, shows like the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, trick-or-treating and rare photo opportunities. Many of the attractions are still open and Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes. It's a spooktacular time and in my opinion, definitely a Disney "must do."

Have a boo-tiful time with your mother-in-law and please let me know if there is anything else I am able to assist you with!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
