My mother in law is going to be coming to Disney world with us next December. She can't stay as long as we can. Can she still be on our dining plan and will they prorate our room and dining for only one person not staying as long? Or will they charge

    Hi Tonia!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney Dining Plans are a great way to have a stress-free Walt Disney World Resort vacation since you don't need to worry about the majority of your dining expenses during your trip! When you are using a dining plan, you will receive one set of dining credits, based on the dining plan you are using, per person on your reservation for each night of your reservation. Unfortunately, you cannot prorate the number of credits that each individual on your reservation receives if they will not be staying for your entire trip. However, you have flexibility in how you use your credits. So if you will have extra credits because your mother-in-law will not be joining you for your entire trip, you could use them to enjoy a Signature Restaurant that requires two credits per meal on most of the dining plans. California Grill and Narcoossee's are two of my favorite Signature Restaurant. Or you can enjoy an amazing dining experience at Cinderella's Royal Table with the Disney Princesses, which also requires two dining credits per person for each meal!

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
