    My mother is joining us at WDW this August. She is able to get around, but having an electric scooter while we’re at the parks would help. Can she just rent a scooter at the parks for the day? She doesn’t want to take it back and forth from hotel.

    Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear that you and your family have an upcoming trip planned to the Walt Disney World Resort; do you have a countdown already? I know that when I've got a trip planned that I always seem to know how many days it is until we stay with Mickey and his pals.

    Regarding your question about the scooter for your mom, park-only rentals are available through Walt Disney World.  We call scooters Electric Conveyance Vehicles or ECVs here, but they can help you get around no matter what you call them.  I would recommend calling Disability Services or emailing them at disability.services@disneyparks.com should you need information regarding an ECV rental.  Please note that these are first-come, first-serve, and reservations are not available. If this concerns you, there are multiple Disney Featured Providers that can bring a scooter to your resort for your length of stay.  I know this wasn't exactly what you wanted but at least you would be guaranteed transport for your mom while you're visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.
