my mother, hubby and 3 yr old will be sailing on the Dream in July. It's our first cruise and I am trying to figure the cost of extras dinner at Palo's, possible nursery fees, the spa, gratuities. I just cant seem to find prices on the web site. HELP!

Ahoy, Janet and congratulations on choosing Disney Cruise Line for your first cruise experience! You are not going to be disappointed in the Dream. In fact, you may leave just a tad spoiled!

As far as extra costs for your cruise, let me help walk you through some examples:

    • For Palo, it costs $20 per person (for dinner or brunch) per dining experience.
    • If the costs are the same as Flounder's Reef nursery, It's a Small World Nursery may cost $6 per hour per child ($5 per hour per child for other children in the same family).
    • The Senses Spa aboard the Dream has its own page on the site, and if you scroll down on the left side of the page, you can click on Senses Spa Treatments and see a list of services and prices under "Treatment Offerings."
    • Other extra costs of your cruise may include: Port Adventures (shore excursions), specialty drinks, alcoholic drinks, souvenirs, photo packages and pre-packaged snacks from the movie theater.

As far as gratuities, it is customary to recognize exceptional service with a monetary gift -- and the service aboard a Disney cruise ship is unparalleled.  Therefore, I recommend you take a look at the Gratuities and Tipping Suggestions so that you can best be prepared prior to sailing.

I hope this helps you plan! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
