Hi Alexandra,
Welcome to planDisney!
It's good to see you thinking through the
Disability Access Service (DAS) prior to your trip. When you pre-register for DAS, you can connect your mom to your DAS and she can connect you to hers. Once you are connected, you can make advanced DAS selections and, when you are in the parks, you can each make a DAS selection including each other on the selections. The key is that both of you have to be in the park to add each other to a DAS selection.
Right after you register for DAS, be sure to chat with a cast member to make
advanced selections. Given the different ways your mom and you navigate the parks, consider times for those advanced selections that would work for both of you. Also consider your other plans including
dining reservations and be sure to schedule DAS advanced selections around those other plans.
My family has truly been grateful for the Disability Access Service. It has certainly made the parks much more manageable for us. Be sure to also take a look at all of the
services for guests with disabilities. We have found the
guides for guests with disabilities helpful also. And, if we ever have questions, cast members have been quite helpful.
Alexandra, I do have one final tip - If you have not considered it already, I do hope you get a chance to experience
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It simply is
spooktacular!!!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
