Hey there, Alberto, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with a great question!
Alberto,
you can request handicap parking when checking in with the Cast Member at the Magic Kingdom parking lot entrance. A valid disability parking permit is required, and standard parking rates do apply. There is not a reservation system for parking, and in my experience, there have always been available parking spots no matter what time I arrive at the Theme Parks. Remember that your parking pass is good for the entire day and across the Theme Parks! So if you are planning to park hop, keep up with your parking receipt and show it to the Cast Member at your second park so that you will not have to pay for parking again.
The parking lot for
Magic Kingdom Park actually leads you to the Ticket and Transportation Center to go through security and board the Monorail or Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom Park. Although the handicap parking spots are closer, it can still be a long walk for Guests who require assistance.
ECV or Wheelchair rentals are available once inside Magic Kingdom Park. So, if you are planning to visit for multiple days and will require the use of an ECV outside of the Theme Parks, I recommend renting a wheelchair or ECV rental from the Disney Featured Provider, Scooterbug. Using an outside vendor would give you the option to reserve an ECV before your visit, and keep it the entire length of your stay. This would allow you to use the ECV throughout your resort and Disney Springs as well.
And as always, if you are staying as a Guest in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can relax and let Disney Transportation handle all the driving for you!
I hope this helps, Alberto! Your Walt Disney World vacation awaits!
Until Next Time,
PG
