    My mother, my daughter, and I will be coming to Walt Disney World in March 2013. We have never been. How hard/easy is it to get/rent a stroller at each park? Also what extra's are recommended for a child turning 5? Any other tips are great.

    Hi Kimberlee,

    Renting strollers at the Disney theme parks is easy.  Near the entrance of each park, you'll have the option to rent a stroller which you can use all day.  If you go to another park that same day, just show your receipt for the stroller rental in the first park and they'll give you a stroller in the second park for no charge. 

    May I make a recommendation, though?  Would you consider taking your own stroller on vacation with you?  I ask this because we took our son on his first trip to Walt Disney World when he was five-years-old and having our own stroller for that trip was invaluable.  He rode it throughout the parks, resorts, airport, and parking.  There is a considerable amount of walking on Disney vacations and I bet your daughter will appreciate having a place to rest throughout your journey.  Whether you are flying or driving, I would heartily encourage you to bring your own stroller from home.  The other option, of course, is to rent a stroller for your entire stay from a local stroller rental company that will deliver directly to your resort. 

    Since this is your daughter's first trip to Walt Disney World, you'll want to bring an autograph book for her.  The Disney characters she meets along the way will happily pose for photographs with her and sign her autograph book. Have the characters sign every other page so that you can print her pictures and then place them opposite the page each character signed. 

    Also, build time into your schedule for all three of you to rest.  Although the temptation is to just keep rolling throughout your entire trip, everyone will be much happier if you rest periodically.

    I also recommend that you consider booking a character dining experience for your March trip by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  It's a fabulous way to interact with the Disney characters while you enjoy a delicious meal.
