Hiya Kelly,
Welcome to planDisney! If you ask me, visiting Walt Disney World Resort with the grandparents is a must-do. They bring an extra dose of magic, and having an extra set of eyes on little Mouseketeers is always nice.
Sometimes when planning all of your trip's little intricate details, some mistakes are bound to happen. My Prince Charming always jokes about how I forgot to add our daughter as a Guest on our dining reservations on her first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Such a silly oversight for a planDisney panelist! Luckily just like in my case, mistakes such as these are easily remedied. Kelly, you and your mom can contact a Cast Member over the phone in the
Disney Park Tickets department, and they will be happy to help you convert your child's
ticket into an adult ticket. This is not an uncommon ticket issue, so it should be no problem at all. You can also do this in person at a ticket counter if that is easier.
I hope this was helpful, Kelly! As you continue to finalize the last-minute details for your trip, be sure to set aside some time for family photos. The
Disney PhotoPass photographers are incredible and always get such great shots. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel, I like to use my extra morning time in the Theme Parks to get my family photos. There are fewer people in the Theme Parks, so I can get pictures without any strangers in the background.
Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
