My mother would benefit enormously from DAS Advance. We are however residents of the UK. May I ask please, can I call the Advance DAS line from the US after we've landed 2 days before entering the parks? Or is our citizenship a problem? Thank you

Hiya Tamsin - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love helping Guests just like you from around the globe plan their own magical Walt Disney World Resort holidays!

I'm excited to hEAR that you have an upcoming visit planned. This is an extra magical time to visit - the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is in full swing, with brand new entertainment, food, and attractions, including my new favorite - Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT!

There have been some recent improvements to the Disability Access Service (DAS), which is designed to accommodate Guests who might have difficulty using the standard attraction queues at the Theme Parks. Once registered, you simply use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to select an attraction you and up to five additional Guests would like to experience. You will be provided with a return time, usually about the same wait time as the standard queue. At that time, you simply return and use the attraction's Lightning Lane entrance for a minimal wait! The best part is that you can spend your time waiting wherever is most comfortable for you. Once you've experienced that attraction, you can then use the app to receive a new return time for another attraction.

There are currently two methods to register for DAS (this is the U.S. link for when you arrive). Guests who are located in the U.S. (it is a physical location restriction, not citizenship) can pre-register online using a new video chat feature. If you happen to be in the U.S. for a few days before you visit Walt Disney World, you can try pre-registering via video chat at least two but not more than 30 days in advance. The great part about pre-registering online is that you are able to make up to two attraction selections per day in advance (this is DAS Advance).

Don't worry if you can't register in advance - it's easy to register for DAS in person at a Guest Relations location once you're in one of the Theme Parks, and you'll still be able to use all of the standard benefits of the service. The only difference is that you won't have any pre-booked attraction selections. Given that there can be significant waits for the very popular pre-registration video chat, you may decide that simply registering in person is the easiest route.

I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your holiday. Please let me know if I can help answer any additional questions that arise!
