I have mostly used the My Disney Experience app for Disney World planning and I’m just wondering how I can make sure my husbands account and mine are linked for an upcoming trip.

    Hiya Justina!

Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As a fellow planning-lover, I am so glad that you stopped by to ask us this magical question, and I am honoured to be a part of your planning journey. I don't know about you, Justina, but I sometimes feel like the planning process is almost just as magical as the trip itself!

Now, let's talk about how you and your husband can use My Disney Experience to make your trip that much more convenient! To make sure that you are linked to each other's accounts, you will want to send your husband a request to join your Family & Friends List. To do so, you will first need to make sure that your husband has created his account instead of managing a profile for him. Then, log into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My Family & Friends" and "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your list. This option allows you to enter his information, but if you both have the My Disney Experience mobile app, you can also use the new linking codes. Indeed, have your husband click on "My Profile" and then "Show My Linking Code," and then when clicking on "Add a Guest" on your mobile app, select "Scan their linking code" instead. Once your husband has accepted your request, you will be able to see each other's plans and link each other to the plans you share. In your Family & Friends List, you can also click on your own profile and change whether you would like your plans to be shared with your friends or private.

Once your My Disney Experience accounts are in order, the real fun begins! You will be visiting at such an exciting time with many different offerings to experience. For instance, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will finally be returning to the Magic Kingdom on August 12, 2022, and I could not be more excited! If you and your husband enjoy celebrating the Halloween season, this is an event you will not want to miss. Since the Halloween parties are special ticketed events, you can also enjoy all of the most popular attractions with reduced wait times with limited capacity. Another favourite offering of mine is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival which begins on July 14, 2022. As a foodie myself, I absolutely love trying the different food booths. Some of my favourites include the Truffle Mac & Cheese from the Mac & Eats booth and the Impossible Burger Sliders from the Earth Eats booths. If you are travelling with little ones, I strongly recommend the Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt. Maps and stickers can be purchased at select merchandise locations, and you get a fun prize at the end!

I hope this was helpful, Justina, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach out. Much like grim grinning ghosts, we love to come out and socialize!

    À bientôt et bon appétit,
