How are mosquitos in August at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness? Do I need bug spray? My son is very sensitive to mosquit bites. Thanks

    Hi Vanessa!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  Walt Disney World really does not have a mosquito problem, even at Fort Wilderness in the summer.  Disney has an extensive program that is actually layered, with a lot of things taking place near the borders of Walt Disney World and not near any guests areas.

That said, I would bring some with you just in case something unique happens during your trip.  For example, there was a large swarm of bees on the Magic Kingdom a few days ago that actually caused the parade to be rerouted, so one never knows.  It's better to be safe than sorry, so I recommend bringing one, but you probably won't need it!

I hope this helps!  Write back with  more questions!
