We have the morning (8-11am) before a pick-up from the Contemporary. How early can we go to Disney Springs to walk around? It doesn't open until 10 but when do buses start to leave from Disney hotels? Other ideas for a few AM hours?

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jean!

Your plan to spend a few morning hours at Disney Springs is a great one; on our day of departure from Walt Disney World, that is often our plan, too!

Shops open at 10:00 a.m., but dining locations serving breakfast may open earlier. One of our very favorite Quick-Service locations for breakfast is Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs Marketplace. On this link, click on the calendar icon toward the right of the screen, then select the date you'll be at Disney Springs. Wolfgang Puck's hours of operation will appear for that date, which will likely begin at 9:00 a.m.

Typically, complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation begins about 45 minutes prior to park open, but ask a Cast Member at Disney's Contemporary Resort to confirm. You'll love that electronic signs have been installed at the Contemporary's bus stop area, updating guests on the expected arrival time of the next bus to each destination.

Once there, enjoy a leisurely breakfast (try the breakfast pizza or corn flake French toast at Wolfgang Puck Express), then tour the gorgeous, newly-expanded Disney Springs. Pick up one last souvenir at the world's largest Disney character store, World of Disney or another of the dozens of shops here. What a great morning!

Send more questions as you plan, Jean; we love to help!
