Are morning Extra Magic Hours really beneficial or do they tend to draw more crowds for the park offering them? In regards to Fastpasses, if we are staying on property, the window opens at exactly 60 days out from the day you check in, correct?

Hi Kortney and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for bringing us your questions about Extra Magic Hours and FastPass+ reservations.

Extra Magic Hours are one of my favorite benefits of being a Disney Resort hotel guest. In my experience, if you get to the park right when it opens, you will be able to ride the most attractions. The additional time at the parks in the morning always works out well for my family because we are all early risers.

I always check the Park Hours calendar on the “month” view before our visits so I can see which parks will be offering those extra hours during the length of our stay. It makes it easier to plan out our days.

When it comes to the FastPass+ system and you are staying on property, you’re right on, the window will open for you exactly 60 days from the day you check-in. But remember, you will only be able to make your FastPass+ selections if you have a valid park ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account.

Some FastPass+ selections you should keep an eye on can be found at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. Pandora- The World of Avatar and some of its exciting attractions like Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey, tend to go very quickly, so if you think you or your party may want to experience them I recommend reserving them first. You won’t regret it!

Kortney, I hope this information is helpful! Come back to see us if you need any more help planning your magical stay!
