Our morning at EPCOT is already filled with 3 LL windows. If we join the virtual queue for GotG at 7am but then our boarding group time conflicts with an existing LL reservation, can we drop out of the virtual queue and try to join again at 1pm?

Hi there, Michelle. Thanks for reaching out to us again!

It sounds like you've got a great plan for your EPCOT morning...and you're planning on saving the galaxy on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which is a total blast. This is my husband's favorite ride...probably ever. We often purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass and try for a Boarding Group in the Virtual Queue. On our last trip, we were able to ride it three times in one day: once in the standard Virtual Queue, once with Lightning Lane Single Pass, and because we were staying in a Deluxe Villa and were visiting on a night when Extended Evening Theme Park Hours were being offered, we were able to ride again in that Virtual Queue. Now, that's what my husband would consider the best day ever!

If you snag a Boarding Group through the Virtual Queue for the 7 a.m. drop, you typically have an hour to return to the ride once you've been called. However, there is an option for you to leave the queue if you are not going to be able to ride, and then you can try for another spot at 1 p.m. Just click "Virtual Queue" in the My Disney Experience mobile app, and you should see a "Leave Queue" option. However, before you do that, I suggest asking one of the Cast Members outside of the attraction or underneath the blue Guest Experience Team umbrellas if you can arrive after you've been called. While this is always up to the discretion of the Cast Members, I have been allowed to arrive late to my Virtual Queue for this particular attraction before. Just ensure you do this before 1 p.m. because if the answer is no, you'll still want to leave the queue to try for a spot at 1 p.m.

Did you know that you can pre-select your Boarding Group up to an hour early on the app? While I don't often do this an hour early, I usually ensure I've done this ten minutes before the Virtual Queue drop. This way, I don't have to worry about selecting my party when 7 a.m. rolls around, especially because Boarding Groups can fill up within seconds, so every second counts! Just select the "Virtual Queue" in the mobile app, and there should be an option to pre-select your Boarding Group. Trust me, it's an important step!

Michelle, if you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer them! Best wishes for saving the galaxy and listening to your favorite song while doing it!

You've got to listen to the beat,
    Matt
