I have Moonlight Magic tickets reserved for August 9. Can I add this reservation to my plans in the MyDisneyExperience app?

    Hey There, Deanne!

I'm so glad you found your way to planDisney.  Thanks for stopping by with your question.  Are you getting excited about Moonlight at Magic at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park?  I'm planning to attend one of the event dates at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park later this summer and I can't wait!  Not only are these incredible Members-only events a great time to enjoy attractions at each park with shorter-than-usual wait times, but you'll also enjoy plenty of snacks, treats, and time with some of your favorite characters along the way –– talk about an extra dose of Membership magic, right?!

Like you, I love the convenience of having all my plans listed in one spot during my vacation in the My Disney Experience mobile app.  It makes it easy for my whole party to see exactly when and where we need to be, which comes in especially handy when you're traveling with a large group as we often do.  But while other after-hours soirees, like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, are physically-ticketed events that can be added to My Disney Experience, Moonlight Magic doesn't work quite the same way –– instead of presenting a ticket to be scanned, you'll simply need to check in with a Cast Member at the event to present your photo ID and eligible Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card.   While that might mean one less ticket to keep track of, unfortunately, it also means that you won't be able to add the event to your My Disney Experience plans.

The good news, though, is that while you might not be able to see the event listed on your itinerary, you'll still receive plenty of communication from Disney Vacation Club leading up to the event with everything you'll need to know.  In addition to the email confirmation you should've received when you signed up, you'll also receive additional emails about a week before the event, as well as a few days beforehand.  These emails will have all the details about the event, including the time you can enter the park, information about the Delectable Delights, and transportation options, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox as the event gets closer for everything you need to know!

Again, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Deanne.  I'm wishing you a splashing good time and lots up Membership magic during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit!
