Is Moonlight Magic just once a year? My family is going on a cruise 12/21/20-12/24/20 +7 days at WDW. When we disembark we will miss MVMCP. If I came one day early 12/20, do you think I would be able to attend MVMCP?

    Hi Lurline!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I know you are getting excited for your Land and Sea adventure and it will be here before you know it!  I always feel like the days start flying by towards the end of the year, and I sure hope that is the case for you, too!

While you will be undoubtedly festively celebrating the holidays onboard the Disney Dream, I definitely understand wanting to experience all the Christmastime magic at the theme parks, too!  I always enjoy seeing the holiday décor and experiencing some snow on Main Street, U.S.A. since we (like you) rarely see a White Christmas here in Texas!  If possible, I would highly recommend adjusting your travel plans and coming to Orlando a day earlier for a couple reasons – first off, you can most definitely purchase tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (as of today, tickets are still available!) and most importantly, you will not be fretting about making it to Port Canaveral for embarkation!  I always recommend allowing plenty of time by arriving in Orlando at least the day before to ensure you have no travel delays!  So, yes…to me, it sounds like a great idea to adjust your travel plans and experience it ALL!!

If you plan on using Disney Cruise Line’s ground transfers to get you to Port Canaveral, be sure you add those to your reservation at least three days prior to your voyage.  These can be added by contacting your travel agent or Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532.  I like using Disney Cruise Line ground transfers because it’s a seamless transfer from either Orlando International Airport or a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to/from Port Canaveral!  You simply show up when and where they tell you to and you magically arrive at your next destination!

I wish you the most magical adventure on both land and at sea, Lurline!  I know you will have an incredible vacation with your family and make some really special memories!
