Hiya, Jeanne!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Can you believe that you're only two weeks away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort? As tough as waiting can be, I bet these final days are going to fly by –– you're going to be wandering down Hollywood Boulevard and grabbing a snack in
The Trolley Car Cafe before you know it! While you're there, you'll definitely want to stop in
Celebrity 5 & 10, my favorite shop for items from the
50th Anniversary Vault Collection. This collection is packed with retro items that will make you like you're right back in 1971, making them the perfect souvenirs from
The World's Most Magical Celebration –– be sure to check it out during your visit!
As a Disney Vacation Club Member, I was thrilled to see that
Moonlight Magic events would be returning this year. In fact, I'm hoping to attend one of these events at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park later this summer, so I understand how excited you may have been to see it scheduled during your visit. However, Moonlight Magic is a specially ticketed event that is exclusively available to
Disney Vacation Club Members and their Guests and requires registration in order to attend. Unfortunately, this means that unless you are a Disney Vacation Club Member with a confirmed registration for Moonlight Magic, you'll need to exit Disney's Hollywood Studios when it closes to the general public at 9 PM on May 24th.
Here's some good news, though –– if you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit, you don't need a DVC Moonlight Magic event to enjoy some extra time in Walt Disney World theme parks. As part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, Guests staying at any Disney Resort hotel can enter the four theme parks up to 30 minutes early each day with
Early Theme Park Entry. To take advantage of this benefit, all you'll need is a park ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation for whichever park you choose. Additionally,
Deluxe Resort Guests can also stay for some late-night fun during
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Guests of these Resorts can treat themselves to two additional hours in the parks after they close to the general public. While this is a great perk, just note that, unlike the morning theme park entry, this benefit is only offered at select parks on certain nights. I recommend checking the Park Hours in the
My Disney Experience mobile app to see which nights these extended evening hours will be available during your visit.
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Jeanne. No matter whether you choose to rope drop or burn the midnight oil during your stay, I hope your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation is filled with magic from start to finish!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
