Is 18 months too young for a child to enjoy Disney World? I have been getting a lot of flack lately, telling me my son will be too young to have a good time.

Hello, Angela!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I have three boys of my own and they have been visiting this MAGICAL place since they were just months old.  When your children are this young, it is more for the parents to see the excitement in their child's face as characters say "hello" and the awe of parades going by just a few yards away from them. There are rides for your little one to enjoy and, trust me, they will be amazed!  This is the moment that we want to capture in our minds forever.  Sure, you little one may not remember this trip as he gets older, but the photos and YOUR MEMORIES are what will make this vacation one to remember for a lifetime.  In my opinion, this is all well worth the trip.  I have truly enjoyed seeing my boys experience this MAGICAL place year after year.  The same expression I saw when they were little is still the same expression I get today and I have a teenager!  The trip is not only about the fun, it is more about that "moment in time" when you witness that smile because of the MAGIC that is passing by right before their eyes.  The fast attractions will come years from now, but even today, my boys enjoy just sitting and enjoying the parades and waiting to have that photo opportunity with their favorite character.  Even today, I still think back to my little just learning to walk as he tries to make his way down Main Street, U.S.A. to see what that "big house" (Cinderella's Castle) is at the end of the street.  He is 15 now and this is his most favorite scene as he enters the Magic Kingdom.  This is coming from a big, tough 15 year old football player!  In my experience, there is no age restriction for capturing DISNEY MAGIC!
