What months, weeks in 2019, are the water parks closed for the colder months?

    Hi Michael!

We are Disney water parks junkies in my family!  We have annual passes to both of them and often visit during the Florida's winter time.

I am pleased to let you know that there is always at least one water park open year round.  During the winter months, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park trade off being closed for refurbishments, so guests are never left without a place to splash around and play.  The only time a water park will close is if the temperature drops below a certain degree, but you wouldn't want to be swimming when it gets that cold anyway.

All pools at Walt Disney World are heated and the water parks are no exception. It's sometimes getting out of the water that will be a bit chilly.

To see the water park schedules for the time frame that you'll be visiting, check out the park hours online or on your My Disney Experience mobile app.

    Have a magical day!
