Which months are the least busy? I want to plan our first WDW vacation as a family but looking to go when the crowds are a bit smaller. Thanks!

A good general rule of thumb, Brad, is that crowds are at the lowest levels when children are in school.  Of course, school calendars vary across the country, but basically you can expect that summer months (June to mid-August), as well as holiday periods and spring break (mid-March to mid-April) are very busy times of the year.  Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving are among the most popular times to visit Walt Disney World.  My family resides in a year-round school district that boasts a three week fall break.  We've found that visiting during September is ideal for avoiding crowds.  Most of January, February, and much of November also can be great times to visit if you're looking to avoid crowds.  Good luck with planning your first trip; it's an exciting milestone for any family!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
