I am a BIG fan of credit card perks, and the rewards that come with a
Disney Visa Card are pretty magical. You ask a great question, and after combing through the fine print on the
Disney Rewards website, I think the date of purchase is recorded as the date you first book your cruise and pay your down payment (or any portion of the cruise fare).
In addition to the financing offer, you can look forward to some
special savings when you set sail. You can receive discounts on select digital photo packages, merchandise, specific island experience packages, and even onboard
spa treatments on port days. My favorite treatment at the spa is a facial. I love the relaxing experience and the way that my face just glows afterwards.
To ensure your savings opportunities as a Disney Visa cardmember, make sure to enter your Disney Visa Card as your form of payment during online check-in for all onboard purchases. When you are on the ship, your “Key to the World” card will indicate that you’re a Disney Visa Cardmember and eligible for the special perks. Make sure that you also mention your special offers to ensure you get the special savings. Please note that offers cannot be combined with other discounts, so if you are eligible for other discount opportunities, check to see which will offer the best savings for you.
