Hi Dumas,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your dining reservation question! I love that you’re already thinking ahead—when it comes to Disney World dining, especially character meals, a little planning can go a long way toward making magical memories.
My girls absolutely light up when we dine at
Chef Mickey’s over at the
Contemporary Resort. There’s just something extra magical about starting your day with Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals—waving as they walk by while you enjoy breakfast is such a fun (and tasty!) way to kick off the magic. And don’t even get me started on dining inside
Cinderella Castle—it’s truly a fairytale come to life. The moment my daughters saw Cinderella and her princess friends up close? Their faces said it all—pure Disney magic in every way!
Now let’s talk timing! You’ll be happy to know: If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, you’re in for a little extra magic—you can start
making dining reservations 60 days before your check-in date, and the best part? You can book for your entire length of stay (up to 10 nights)! This gives you a great head start on snagging those popular spots.
If you're staying off-property, no worries—you can still make your dining reservations 60 days in advance, too. Just keep in mind that reservations open bright and early around 6:00 AM (EST) each day, so it’s worth setting that alarm and having your list ready to go!
If you're traveling with little ones, I highly recommend picking up an autograph book and a fun pen before your trip. My kids love collecting character signatures during meals—it becomes such a sweet keepsake of the trip!
Dumas, I hope this helps guide your reservation plans. If you have any further questions as your magical vacation approaches, please don't hesitate to come back and visit us again!
See ya real soon,
Christina
