Is there a monthly or seasonal rate to stay at Fort Wilderness campground for the winter season

Hi Gerald! The Fort Wilderness Campground Resort is one of our favorite places to stay. We love to bring down our motor coach and spend a few months in the fall. Between the fun at Halloween and the peaceful atmosphere around us it is hard to beat.

Unfortunately, Disney does not offer any seasonal or monthly or weekly rates for the campground. With the pricing going up we are having to reconsider the amount of time we will spend there which is disappointing. But it is so popular that they never seem to be lacking in reservations.

I have told many guests if they wish to spend time there they must get reservations as early as possible. Weekends have gotten so hard to get you need to reserve a year in advance for many dates. The rates for weekends and holidays are higher then mid week so when you stay for a long term you pay each day what the going rate is.

You also can only make a reservation for a total of 30 days at a time. If you wish to winter there you will need to make several reservations starting when the prior one ends etc. There are still some guests who do winter there and they choose the more quiet full hook-up sites over the preferred to save a little bit of money.

Hopefully, this information will help you decide on the length of stay for you at the great Fort Wilderness!
