Hiya, Matthew! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, and congratulations on the paw-some addition to your family!
Since you’re staying in an RV, I’m guessing you’ll be enjoying Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. Fort Wilderness—along with Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, and Yacht Club Resort—is one of the four Walt Disney World Resort properties that have designated dog-friendly accommodations. That means there are designated outdoor walkways for exercise and dedicated green spaces with pet relief areas.
The Walt Disney World website says
that all dogs staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels or Best Friends Pet Hotel must be properly vaccinated. According to
Best Friends Pet Hotel's help line, that includes the following vaccinations:
- Rabies
- Canine distemper
- Bordetella
If you would like your dog to participate in group play at the Best Friends Pet Hotel, they’ll also need the following vaccinations:
- Influenza A (H3N8)
- Influenza A (H3N2)
I’d suggest calling (407) 209-3126 to speak with a Cast Member if you have questions about your pet’s specific circumstances. Remember, you’ll need to provide written proof of vaccination by a licensed veterinarian at check-in, or you can ask your vet’s office to fax it to (203) 840-5207 before arrival.
I hope you have an amazing time on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Matthew. Remember to get your Pluto’s Welcome Kit at check-in, which includes a mat, bowl, plastic pick-up bags, and other items to help with your pup’s stay.
Pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are always happy to help.
Magical travels!
Matt
