Does my 4 month old need shoes to ride the rides at Disneyland?

    Welcome to planDisney, Katie!

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question! It looks like you will arrive at Disneyland Resort on St. Patrick's Day this year. You may want to celebrate the holiday by visiting Disneyland's resident leprechaun, Patrick Begorra! His quaint home be found at the bottom of a tree located in Adventureland. My kids like to say "hello" to him before we ride Indiana Jones Adventure! Although Indiana Jones Adventure may be closed for refurbishment during your trip, you should still be able to see Mr. Begorra's home.

The Disneyland Resort Rules state that proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. I suggest carrying socks or booties with you in case you are asked to put them on your child. I have never had a Cast Member tell me that a non-walking infant needs shoes while we have been in the park with babies. If your infant is like one of my kids, they delight in removing socks as soon as they are put on! Nevertheless, it is a good idea to be prepared.

Did you know that there are two Baby Care Centers at Disneyland? The Baby Care Centers were a lifesaver for some of our family members when traveling with little ones. These quiet spots are perfect for changing diapers, nursing, and feeding your baby. There is also a kitchen with bottle warmers and a microwave, plus vending machines offering formula, diapers, pacifiers, and more. The Cast Members are always so sweet there!

Katie, I hope your family has a wonderful trip to Disneyland Resort. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me directly!

Wishing you a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
    Jen
