Hi there Erin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I just can't wait for your little one to experience The Most Magical Place on Earth! We took my son to the Walt Disney World Resort around this age, and he had an absolute blast. Seeing the excitement on his face as he met Mickey Mouse or went soaring on Dumbo the Flying Elephant was priceless.
If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, your child will receive a Magic Band, because their name will be on the hotel reservation. Since they will be under 3 years old, they will not need a park ticket which means they won't need their magic band to enter the parks. Also since they will not be using their Magic Band to make purchases or as a hotel room key (I hope!), they will not need to wear it for these purposes either. Your little one is more than welcome to wear their Magic Band so they can feel more like their Mommy, as mine wanted to do at first, but if they don't feel like wearing it? No biggie! It did make a great souvenir for us as my son's very first Magic Band, though.
If you didn't know already, your little one will be able to experience every attraction without a height requirement, and you can use the My Disney Experience app to see the height requirements for every attraction. Also, if you need any privacy with your little one for feedings or diaper changes, make sure you locate the
Baby Care Center in each park.
I just know your child is going to experience so many magical moments with you. Please feel free to return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
