Does an 18 month old need a magic band?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kaye!

Walt Disney World Resort is an amazing place for kids of all ages. I have brought both of my little Mouseketeers when they were 18 months old and our entire family enjoyed experiencing the magic through their eyes! Guests under 3 years old do not require a theme park ticket. So your little one will not require either a MagicBand or a theme park admission card for your vacation. However, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, all Guests on your hotel reservation will receive complimentary MagicBands, including your little one. My 2 year old son loves to wear his MagicBand during our vacation, just like all of the other members of the family, and always wants to touch it to the Mickey touch points at the theme park entrances and FastPass+ queue entrances, even thought he doesn't need to. The Cast Members always give him lots of encouragement as he goes through with a big smile!

Be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers during your trip as they help a day in the theme parks with little ones go smoothly by providing a wonderful place to take care of your baby's needs. Also, check out these tips for planning your vacation for little ones. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!

I can’t wait to help you plan your next adventure there, too! Learn More About Crystal
