Does a 6 month old need a band

Hi, Melissa!  Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be experiencing the Walt Disney World Resort with your little Mouseketeer soon!  Children under 3 years of age are considered "Guests of Mickey."  As such, they do not need to pay theme park admission or have a MagicBand.

When utilizing the FastPass+ system during your vacation, you will not need to scan a MagicBand or admission card for your baby.  He or she may enter the FastPass+ queue and experience the attraction with the rest of the family as long as it is an attraction that is suitable for all guests.  If you wish to see which attractions your little one will be able to experience with you, the attractions page of the Walt Disney World website can be filtered according to height restrictions, age, and thrill level.  I think you will find that there are many attractions that your whole family will be able to enjoy together.  For those attractions that your little Mouseketeer is still too small for, you may want to use the Rider Switch Service.

During your vacation, be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers conveniently located within each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks.  The Baby Care Centers offer you a place to feed and change your little one or just simply take a break.  Each Baby Care Center also has a shop where you can purchase any supplies you might need for your little Mouseketeer.
