Hi Kelly, welcome to planDisney!
Virginia is for Disney lovers and I'm so glad you're planning to head south this October to visit my home away from home, Walt Disney World Resort. October means you'll find Mickey pumpkinhead wreaths lining Main Street, U.S.A., and pumpkin-flavored everything. October also means that
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is occurring on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park. When planning your park days and making
theme park reservations, it's important to note that Magic Kingdom Park closes early on Halloween party days. If
Disney Enchantment is one of your must-dos, make sure you plan to spend a non-Halloween party evening at Magic Kingdom.
I'm happy to share that with valid admission and a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, you are allowed to come and go from Magic Kingdom Park as many times as you please. When my kids were younger, we always returned to our hotel for a midday nap break. These days, we love walking to Disney's Contemporary Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for lunch on our Magic Kingdom days. The Gourmet Grilled Cheese at
Steakhouse 71 is decadent!
If you happen to be staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, your
hotel parking fee covers parking at the Disney Parks. If you're staying offsite, you'll pay one fee for the entire day, even if you leave and come back. That fee covers parking at all the parks in case your tickets include the
Park Hopper Option.
If you're like me and have a hard time remembering where you parked from time to time, I'm super excited to let you know about a brand-new
Car Locator feature found in the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the three stacked lines at the bottom right of the home page and scroll down to "Car Locator" to save your vehicle location. Maybe the next app update will help me find my car keys!
It's always a pleasure helping a fellow Virginian plan a magical Disney vacation. Should you have any more questions,
you've got a friend in me.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
