When is my 7 month out date for a reservation starting 2-23-23? And can I book online after midnight on that date, or do I need to wait until your office opens at 7am?

    Hiya, Don!

Welcome to planDisney.  As someone who likes to plan my Walt Disney World Resort vacations way in advance, I'm glad to see you're already thinking about a visit in February 2023.  Now, you'll have plenty of time to plan all those details that will make your visit practically perfect in every way!  Since you mentioned booking 7 months in advance, I think you're asking about Disney Vacation Club's 7-month booking window for non-Home Resorts.  Let me share a few details about how the booking process works so you'll be ready to roll when your reservation window opens.

As a Disney Vacation Club Member, there are two important dates to keep in mind when you're booking DVC Resort reservations –– the date your Home Resort Priority Period opens and the date your 7-month booking window opens.  While reservations at your Home Resort can be made 11 months before check-in, eligible Members can begin booking reservations online for all other Disney Vacation Club Resorts at 8 AM EST at the 7-month mark.  If you prefer to make reservations over the phone, you can also give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800 beginning at 9 AM EST each day.  Since you're planning to arrive on February 23, you can begin booking your reservations on July 23.

If possible, I recommend using the online booking portal on the Disney Vacation Club website to book your reservations, especially in the 7-month window.  Availability can fill up quickly, especially during busy times of the year, and booking right at 8 AM should give you the best chance to secure the perfect room.  By waiting until Member Services opens at 9 AM, there's always a chance that fewer rooms will be available.  And don't forget that if you can find the room type you're hoping for when your booking window opens, you also have the option to Waitlist a reservation –– with a little patience, there's a great chance your request may become available before you arrive.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Don.  Please feel free to stop by again if you think of new questions as your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches –– we're always here to help!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
