Attendance at Walt Disney World Resort typically increases when kids are off school on vacation. Rates for Resort hotels also are higher during popular times. January is typically the month with least attendance (and lowest rates!), except during
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, and Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
Another suggestion is to look at the last week in August and September, when rates are also lower. Weather is still on the warmer side, and most of the kids in the southern states are back in school. Rates also may vary between weekdays and weekends
