Can you see the monorail from the wilderness lodge? My son loves trains and just wondered if it could be seen

    Dear Cristy,

If your son loves trains, then you simply have to take him to the Carolwood Pacific Room on the first floor of the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This building is right next to the Wilderness Lodge.  The Carolwood Pacific Room has some amazing train memorabilia, including some very special items that belonged to Walt Disney himself.

Because of where the resort is situated along Bay Lake, it is nearly impossible to catch a glimpse of the monorail from Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Bay Lake Tower and many tall trees block the view.  However, you might want to consider booking a breakfast or dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Then your son could watch numerous monorails glide by as he dines.  (The Contemporary is just a quick boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge).

Also, make sure to take the scenic train trip around the Magic Kingdom by boarding a train just inside the theme park's entrance or in Frontierland, near Splash Mountain.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
