Hey there, Donna! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us with this great question. With so many things to see and do,
getting around the Walt Disney World Resort is an important part of making your plans. So, let's hit the road - and the water, and the sky!
The
monorail is Disney's "highway in the sky," serving the
Magic Kingdom Park area, including
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom parking lot. At the Transportation and Ticket Center, you can transfer to another monorail bound for
Epcot. The monorail doesn't travel to any of the other Theme Parks, however, so your best bet for Park-hopping is usually going to be
Disney bus transportation, which serves all of the Theme Parks and Disney Springs. For a fun change of pace, you can also set sail on
Disney water transportation between Epcot and
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Another option you might consider is
Disney's Minnie Van service. These are individual vehicles you can order through the Lyft app thattravel to pretty much any destination around Walt Disney World. There'san extra charge for this service, but it's quick and convenient - andsuper cute!
Donna, there's an exciting new way to get around Walt Disney World that will be taking to the skies very soon! Starting this fall, the
Disney Skyliner will transport Guests to destinations including Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and select Resort hotels. I can't wait to board one of the gondolas and get a whole new perspective of Walt Disney World!
I hope this helps you find your way around Walt Disney World, Donna. Please motor on by again if you have any more questions. We love to help!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
