Hello Christina! Welcome to planDisney.
I'm happy to report that just the other day I was at Magic Kingdom Park and hopped on the monorail over to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the first time in quite some time. So to answer your question, yes, it is indeed up and running, Christina! From Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you can take the monorail over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Transportation and Ticket Center and back to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort once again!
I'm really glad that the monorail from there is up and running again, Christina. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my very favorite places to hang out, even if I am not staying there. I love to head over there from Magic Kingdom Park for a midday lunch break. The food court area, Capt. Cook's, serves up some
delicious lunch offerings. I happen to be a huge fan of the pulled pork nachos. I like to head over there for lunch if the theme park is feeling too crowded and now with the monorail back open there it's even easier to get to. During the evening hours, I like to grab a drink at the
Tambu Lounge upstairs next to 'Ohana. There may be fancier lounges throughout Walt Disney World but I've always loved this one. It's a laid-back atmosphere, the bartenders are fantastic and the drinks are always great! What more could you ask for?
I hope this helps, Christina! If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have a great day and happy planning!
