Hello, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mildred!
Though subject to change, the
Disneyland Monorail typically operates during regular park hours. For entrance to
Disneyland Park during
Extra Magic Hours and
Magic Morning early admission, the main entrance turnstiles are available. I recommend consulting the
Disneyland app for the latest information and hours for both the monorail and the overall park.
I love the thrilling ride on the Disneyland Monorail between the
Downtown Disney District station and the
Tomorrowland Station. Although the Disneyland Monorail does not have a stop in
Disney California Adventure Park, it still winds its way through a portion of that park, providing a beautiful view of
Hollywood Land,
Buena Vista Street, and the
Grizzly Peak Airfield. The monorail continues on through the gorgeous courtyard of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa before its stops in Downtown Disney District closer to the
Disneyland Hotel.
Tony’s Tip: During certain times of the day, you may inquire about the possibility of sitting in the nose cone with the
Monorail Pilot! This experience is limited to just a few guests and is subject to availability. This is my favorite way to ride on the Disneyland Monorail!
My favorite time to travel on the Disneyland Monorail is mid-morning. And my favorite reason for riding is to travel toward a brunch reservation at
Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen or
Goofy's Kitchen. After an exciting morning of riding attractions during Extra Magic Hour, brunch is a great way to refuel for the remainder of the day at the Disneyland Resort.
I hope you have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Mildred!
