We want to take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to Epcot. How much are and where do we get tickets? Also how long should we expect the commute to be?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Misty ~

All Disney World Guests, including non-resort hotel Guests are welcome to use the Monorails, Disney buses, boat launches, and ferry boats at no charge. You will not need a ticket to board any of these.

My boys love the Monorail and we take it whenever possible. To take the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot, you will first need to take the Ferry Boat, Resort Monorail or Express Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From there, you can board the Epcot Monorail that will take you to the front entrance of Epcot. (Tip: If you take the Express Monorail from Magic Kingdom to TTC, you can walk across the platform to board an Epcot Monorail without going down the ramp and back up again).

I would allow myself at least 30 - 40 minutes travel time from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot just to be safe. The actual trip times on the Monorails are not long once you board. However, the number of people waiting to board and waiting on a Monorail to arrive at the Monorail stations can extend the time until you reach your destination. If you have dining reservations or have made FastPass+ selections, give yourself some extra time to allow for the security checkpoint, entrance, and walking to your adventure once you reach Epcot.

Please feel free to visit again with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
