Can I take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to Epcot and from Epcot take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios without a hopper pass or do I need a hopper pass because for that I need to enter Epcot?

    Hi Efrain! Welcome to planDisney!

I love talking about Walt Disney World complimentary transportation! The monorail has long been a favorite of mine, but the Disney Skyliner quickly climbed the list when I first experienced it. I wish I could get everywhere I need to be in my day-to-day life via monorail and Skyliner. A girl can dream, right?

When planning out the transportation scenario that you mentioned, there are a few things to note. First, you would have to have a valid Walt Disney World theme park ticket to enter EPCOT to walk through from the main entrance to the International Gateway entrance and board the Disney Skyliner. As a Guest also visiting Magic Kingdom Park that same day, you would need the Park Hopper Option ticket. Of course, if you are planning to hop over to Disney's Hollywood Studios on the same day, you will need a Park Hopper Option ticket anyway!

The next thing to be aware of is that the monorail to EPCOT is not currently in operation. When the Walt Disney World theme parks reopened last summer, the EPCOT monorail did not reopen and we don't have any information at this time on when it will open. Your best bet for traveling from Magic Kingdom Park to the other theme parks is to take one of the complimentary buses.

I hope this helps as you plan your visit, Efrain! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
