How ya doin', Laura, and welcome to planDisney!
The Monorail is as iconic to the image of the Walt Disney World Resort as Cinderella Castle or Spaceship Earth. It links Magic Kingdom to 3 different
Disney Resorts Collection hotels with stops at the Ticket and Transportation Center, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You can also catch a ride from
Magic Kingdom to EPCOT by taking the Monorail from the station located outside of Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center. You would then transfer to the other line headed to
EPCOT.
Pro-tip: While no Monorail line runs to
Animal Kingdom, you can usually get there by
Disney Bus Transportation. When exiting Magic Kingdom, head toward the bus terminal and check the big board for the correct bus heading to Animal Kingdom, and head to the corresponding corral and wait for your chariot to arrive. Be aware that the bus schedule is subject to change in which case Cast Members on site will be able to direct you in real time.
Laura, have fun Park Hopping from place to place during your magial vacation. Based on your dates and past years, keep your eyes peeled over at
Disney Parks Blog for words on the dates for the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. Traditionally it would be in full swing by the time you arrive.
Happy planning!
