    Will the monorail be closed in January 2019 for refurbishment?

    Hi April,

    Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I'm hoping your question suggests that you are well into planning your Walt Disney World vacation!

    I often comment that to ride the Walt Disney World Monorail System is to experience a world-class attraction like no other. For as many times as I have hopped on board and stood clear of the doors, I never fail to appreciate in awe the marvel of it all.

    My first go-to source for checking out refurbishment schedules is to look at the online Park Hours Calendar that also displays refurbishment schedules. From what I can see listed at the moment, I'm not seeing any planned refurbishments scheduled to close the Monorail. I also double-checked with Guest Services, and they were not seeing that the Monorail is going through any refurbishment closures. So while I don't have any official word to pass along, I can share that, as always, refurbishment schedules are subject to change as needed. I can also share that, in my experience, transportation alternatives are provided as needed.
