Welcome to planDisney, Leslie!
It looks like today is a
very big day, because you’ve just arrived at Walt Disney World Resort. I actually just returned from a stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, so I’m delighted to help you with your question. Let’s talk transportation!
If you’ll be traveling from Caribbean Beach Resort to
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you’ll need to first use
Walt Disney World’s complimentary bus transportation from your hotel to Magic Kingdom Park. The buses conveniently stop in each of the Resort’s themed villages, so you’ll want to refer to your Resort’s map in the My Disney Experience app to see which bus stop is the most convenient to your room.
The app also features a helpful tool that will tell you when the next bus will be arriving at each stop. You can find this information by selecting the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the screen, selecting ‘Hotel Reservations’, and then ‘See Bus Times’. I’m especially fond of this handy feature because it lets me know just how briskly I need to make my way to the bus stop.
Once you’ve arrived at Magic Kingdom Park, the quickest transportation option will likely be the
Resort Monorail. Although the Grand Floridian is the final stop on the loop, in my experience, the initial wait for a monorail tends to be shorter than at the
water launch. Of course, if you’re focused more on the journey rather than the fastest possible arrival at the destination, then a boat ride across Seven Seas Lagoon might be
practically perfect!
I hope this was helpful, Leslie, and that you're enjoying the classic luxury of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
real soon. If you need any additional assistance during your vacation, feel free to
stop back by planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
