Are monopods and tripods still allowed at WDW parks? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Philip! Thanks for the great question.

According to the Disney Theme Parks & Water Parks – Frequently Asked Questions, "tripod stands or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack" as well as "selfie sticks (hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices)" are prohibited. Please consult the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules for specific details and a full list of items prohibited from the Walt Disney World Resort.

Please visit us again if you have any additional questions while planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Wishing you a magical day, Philip!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
