Monina, is the campfires, horse back rides included in the price of the Cabins at FW? or does it cost more? also if we want to drive in midday on a saturday and then start the parks on sunday will there be plenty to do at the Cabins to not waste a day?

    Hi again Jenny,

I think your plan to hit the Theme Parks refreshed on Sunday after a long day of travel is a fantastic idea. That's typically the strategy for my family.

And I think there are plenty of activities to keep your family occupied at Fort Wilderness (FW)! You couldn't ask for a better Resort. There is a cost associated with some activities. But there's a ton to do that will cost you nothing or close to it!

You might want to take a dip at the Meadow Swimmin' Pool or Wilderness Swimmin' Pool. Or you can take advantage of the trails Fort Wilderness has to offer. FW also has a petting zoo where the kids can get down and dirty for free. Or they can visit with the horses at the Tri Circle D Ranch for no cost (but for a small fee they can go on a pony ride).

In the evening, you can settle in for Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long. The sing-a-long is free. You may bring your own marshmallows or buy them at the snack bar. Then afterwards take in a Movie Under the Stars!

Or hang out on the beach and catch a glimpse of the Electrical Water Pageant. The Pageant floats through Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon each night, weather permitting.

So what do you think? Enough to keep you and the kids happy?

    Hope this helps!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
