Hi! If money was not an option which resort at WDW would you choose? Also plz give me your top dining options also. I will be coming down with my granddaughter from Oct 3rd--Oct 10th. I really enjoy and respect your opinions.

Wow.  What a compliment Diane.  Thank you so much!

If budget was not a concern, I'd choose Disney's Beach Club for two reasons: 1. location.  2. pool.  I love that you can walk from the Beach Club to Epcot or the Boardwalk for nighttime entertainment.  Not to mention the ability to refresh in the hotel room before strolling over to the World Showcase for dinner.  Talk about convenience!  Oh, and the pool.  Don't get me started on Stormalong Bay.  What I love most about the Beach Club pool is that every single member of our family can find an entire day's worth of entertainment poolside.  It's awesome.

And, just for the record, the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian would be high up on my resort wishlist as well.

When it comes to Disney dining, I have to admit that it is absolutely one of my favorite parts of our family vacations.  I have developed an ever-expanding list of must-do restaurants that necessitates longer and longer trips each year!  Among my favorites are:

Jiko - for a date night, or a nice evening out with older children.
Teppan Edo - great food and great fun.
Whispering Canyon Cafe and 'Ohana - family favorites for a guaranteed good time.
Wolfgang Puck Express - one of the few counter service locations I enjoy.
Restaurant Marrakesh - for adventurous eating that doesn't feel "too" adventurous.
Hoop Dee Doo - You haven't done Disney right until you give this great show a try.

What a special way to spend quality time with your granddaughter; I'm sure your trip will be fabulous!  You've chosen a great time of year to visit.  We may even cross paths briefly; my family will be departing WDW on Oct. 3rd to set sail on our first Disney cruise vacation.

Please don't hesitate to ask me more questions as you get further into your trip planning!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
