how much money should i budget for 2 adults for 7days for food and etc.

    Hi, Kristal!

We get this question a lot at the Moms Panel, so on our last vacation to Walt Disney World, I put my darling husband to work and had him keep track of our expenses.  For my family of 4, we spent on average about $175 - $200 per day for food, snacks, and a few small souvenirs.   Now, with just 2 of you, you can count on about half of that.  On days that you enjoy nicer table service meals, you can obviously spend more, but other days you might just grab a few quick service meals that will be significantly less.

This dollar amount does not include park tickets, hotels, or flights. This amount is based on daily expenses.

Things that will really make this "daily" amount jump:  Alcoholic beverages at meals, tickets for special events like La Nouba at Downtown Disney, expensive souvenirs, etc.  It is really easy to start spending like crazy, so set a budget before leaving home.

I think if you plan for about $100 per day for the basics, you will be in good shape.  If you plan on some special experiences or serious shopping, just add that on your budget.  Have fun and enjoy your vacation in Walt Disney World.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
