Can I get my money back for one park day? There is a lot of rain to be expected. We are booked on April 17 at Magic Kingdom and there is not a single park available any of the other days we are visiting Orlando. We are from Canada. Thank you

Hey there, Sacha. Thanks for stopping by planDisney to chit-chat with me about your upcoming park day.

Sacha, I wouldn't let the current weather forecast impact your planned day at Magic Kingdom Park just yet. The forecasted weather is constantly changing and oftentimes does show some rain. However, this does not mean that it will rain all day or even at all! I can't tell you how many times the weather forecast has said rainy days during my Walt Disney World vacations but then it ends up being sunny and beautiful all day long. I did take a look at the current forecast and April 17 is shaping up to be a pretty nice day. It looks like, right now, you can expect high 80-degree weather and only about a 40% chance of rain. It looks like a great park day to me. Throw a poncho in your backpack before you leave the house and you'll be good to go! Even if it does rain, Sacha, the likelihood of it being all day is slim. Typically there is an afternoon pop-up shower and it's gone just as fast as it showed up. If it starts raining while you are at Magic Kingdom Park you can always duck into a quick-service dining location for a snack and wait it out. I think you'll end up still having a magical day.

Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets are nonrefundable, Sacha. It is not likely that you would be able to get your money back for the one-day theme park ticket that you have already purchased. You can, however, modify your theme park tickets to begin on a different day but as you've said, you'll also need a park pass reservation. I took a look at the Walt Disney World theme park availability calendar and I am also seeing limited to no availability around your travel dates. If you'd like to discuss getting a refund or possibly changing around your park day, I think speaking to a Cast Member in Guest Services is going to be your best bet. (407) 934-7639 is the phone number to reach out to about your existing Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets.

Sacha, I hope everything works out and you are able to enjoy a beautiful day at Walt Disney World.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
