Is Monday a very busy day at the Magic Kingdom?

Hey Howdy Hey Cathleen and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question on park attendance for your upcoming trip to Magic Kingdom. I will be happy to try and give you a little more information on expectations.

When it comes to visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, there are always large crowds wanting to experience the Magic the parks have to share. Although weekdays may be a little less busy compared to weekends, it may depend on the time of year and other activities. If there are any holidays around the Monday you plan to visit, be sure to expect a bump in attendance due to others taking advantage of the time off. You can also check around for things like runDisney events or competitions at ESPN Wide World of Sports. If they are happening on the weekends, usually the week before and the week after may see an increase in park attendance due to the competitors and their families making a vacation out of their trip.

Both holidays and big competitive activities are two of the larger impacts on attendance for that particular day. There are many sites that will estimate theme park attendance that you can reference that will also give you an estimate of what to expect for the day of your trip. Just be aware these are all estimates and park attendance is subject to change.

If you are planning to visit the theme parks soon and want to make sure you have the best chance to experience everything you want, I would encourage you to look into Disney Genie+. With Genie+, will have access to book Lightning Lane Entrances which give you times to return to attractions with shorter wait times rather than with traditional stand-by lines. You can purchase and book your Lightning Lane selections on your My Disney Experience mobile app which will make navigating the parks a little easier.

I hope that helped to give you a little more insight on where to look to plan for attendance numbers for your upcoming trip. Best of luck as you continue to plan and please feel free to stop back if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    Happy Planning,
