Hi Hilary,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I posed this question to my 9-year-old daughter without telling her the reservations that you have already made, and two of her suggestions were The Crystal Palace and Boma - Flavors of Africa. She approves of your choices thus far!
At Magic Kingdom, my family and I enjoy a meal at
The Plaza Restaurant. This small restaurant seems to be one that many guests overlook. It is a simple casual restaurant, and provides a great place for a break during a busy day of theme park touring. I particularly enjoy the club sandwich here.
If you would like another character meal, check out
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom. During Donald's Dining Safari at Breakfast and Lunch, you can meet Donald Duck and his friends in safari gear. Since you will be meeting Winnie the Pooh and his friends at The Crystal Palace, this will offer different characters for your children to meet. Please do note that all character appearances are subject to change.
Outside of the theme parks and not requiring admission, a couple of others that my family enjoys are
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Downtown Disney for a good Irish meal, and
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort for a simple yet delicious burger and ice cream.
I hope that these ideas are helpful for you, Hilary! Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
